As every Vespisti knows, the lighting on Vespa scooters was not the ultimate. A candle would certainly have been just as bright if it hadn’t been blown out by the wind.
Although clear glass headlights provided better lighting at the turn of the millennium, this was at the expense of the visual appearance of the scooters. This has been a thing of the past for some years now. The luminosity of LED headlights has been optimized as an efficient light source.
What does the abbreviation LED actually mean?
LED is the abbreviation for Light Emitting Diode. We have been familiar with them for a long time as indicator lights in electrical devices. Previously, they were red, green and yellow. Now they are also available in blue and white. The SIP Scootershop has modified the LED as a classic design for Vespa Largeframe scooters, with full light output.
What are the advantages of LED headlights from SIP?
That can be summed up in a single sentence: Simple installation, sleek design, best visibility at night. See and be seen. That’s the motto when it comes to road safety, which we Vespisti take very seriously. Here we would like to present some LED headlights, all of which are available from SIP.
Headlight Unit SIP PERFORMANCE LED 113890 round Ø 143 mm
Suitable for Vespa:
125 GTR/TS/150 SprintV/180-200 Rally/PX80-200/PE/Lusso/’98/MY/’11/LML Star 125-200 2T/4T, 12 V DC, in each case without mounting material.
Homologation (approval): with E-mark.
Further advantages of SIP LED spotlights:
the semiconductors consume very little power
they take up very little space for installation
they are durable
They are characterized by a wide variety of shapes and colour spectra
SIP Performance LED headlights can be installed without further modifications thanks to Plug&Play. In contrast to other manufacturers of LED headlights, the SIP headlight has a discreet LED strip in the middle, which makes a particularly elegant impression and integrates perfectly into the overall appearance of the Vespa.
Unfortunately, most LED headlights had one thing in common: they were not really stylish, not to say ugly. In other words, they spoiled the appearance of classic Vespa scooters. Not exactly pleasing.
This makes the designs from SIP, our trusted online store, all the more pleasing.
The price of the aforementioned headlight from SIP is €209.

These headlights can also be installed without major modifications. Just like the model mentioned above, this one also has the discreet parking light strip in the center.
This headlight has “high-power LED” high/low beam. It can be easily connected to any H4 headlight plug. The parking light function can also be used with the separate cable.
Important tip
This headlight works with direct current and must therefore be connected to a battery or equivalent energy source with 12C DC.
Price 255 € without shipping costs.
The SIP PERFORMANCE LED headlights are available with a matching headlamp rim. Available colors are silver or black.
Ordinary, inexpensive headlights, no LED
Finally, for the price-conscious Vespisti, a headlight with conventional light.
