A sports seat not only enhances the look of our scooter, but also has an influence on handling and therefore on riding comfort. It should not only be attractive, but also functional. That’s why it’s important to give some thought to the purchase beforehand.
Seven questions to help narrow down our purchase decision:

- Which materials do I prefer?
- Can I assemble the new bench myself, or would I prefer to hire a professional?
- Which assembly parts are required for DIY and are they included?
- Does the new seat have to be approved/registered?

What makes this seat stand out? It is extremely flat and perfect for racing. It is also affordable in terms of price.
The slightly lower seating position gives a very direct riding feel. This makes it one of the most popular sports benches in racing series. It also favors the hang-off effect.
SIP “Longtail” Evo II sports bench seat
It fits Vespa 125 VNA/VNB/GT/GTR/Super//TS/150 VBA/VBB/GL/Sprint/V/Super/T4.

Are Vespisti actually aware that no other replacement/accessory part apart from a sports seat can change the look of the Vespa so dramatically and easily? How do you do that?
Quite simply: a stylish sports seat bench supports the streamlined shape of the bodywork and forms a beautiful finish with the rear. The seat bench is stitched in black and has dark gray piping.
The advantage of this seat bench is that it is attached to the original mounting points of the standard seat bench and can be replaced in next to no time.
The look of the Longtail Evo II follows the trend of the 80s and should not be missing on any racer.

NISA Touring

This sports seat from the renowned Italian manufacturer NISA combines sporty aspects with maximum seating comfort. It is suitable for both large and small frame models.
The seat cover with a quilted matt surface is attached to a black painted metal frame. The piping is a subtle gray and rounds off the seat bench nicely.
Here we have a desirable combination of sportiness and outstanding, fatigue-free seating comfort.
Last but not least, a few SIP TIPS:
- despite all the sportiness, riding feel and seating comfort should not be neglected. That’s why SIP recommends a seat cushion made of cellular rubber
- if the fit of the seat is not optimal because the rubber pads are too long, for example, they can be shortened with a sharp (carpet) knife and adjusted accordingly
- conversely, rubbers that are hanging in the air can be compensated for with appropriate rubber washers. It is important that all rubbers are in contact with the frame
- SIP offers appropriate seat locks to protect against theft. They cost between €19 and €59, depending on the model.
