Advantages of a Vespa Top Case
Where to put the helmet during a stopover? First of all, we think of storing our helmet in a storage space on the two-wheeler, we need to store groceries temporarily, utensils that we need for work should also be accommodated or our equipment for sporting activities needs space for transportation.
A luggage box primarily serves as an extension of the limited storage space of our two-wheeler and Piaggio has launched a stylish new top case in many different colors. Based on the new “Fast Mounting System”, the top case is quickly installed and, conversely, just as quickly removed again. As a rule, no tools are required.
As we two-wheeler riders also value the visual appearance of our scooter, the new rear case should be painted in the color of our Vespa. Seamless integration into the overall appearance should be guaranteed. As an indispensable advantage, a top case offers additional storage space for helmets and shopping. Unfortunately, the standard small storage space under the seat is very quickly used up.
Top Case PIAGGIO FMS 2025
For Vespa GTS/GTS Super/GTV/GT 60, 125-310ccm.
The new PIAGGIO FMS 2025 CM328316 top case is a sales hit. It has 36 liters of storage space and the new Fast Mounting System is very easy to install without tools or a base plate.
Special feature of the top case for Vespa GTS Super (from 2023-)
The case is supplied with a pre-assembled lock and two matching keys, ready for immediate use without any additional effort. A base plate for the luggage rack is not required. From model year 2023, a backrest is no longer included in the scope of delivery. However, it can be ordered separately and fitted in a matching design to the seat bench.
Color coordination and backrests
A striking feature of the top case is the complete paint finish in the vehicle color. How does the scooter owner know the specific color number for their model? It can be found on the type plate below the storage compartment under the seat bench. Many of the rear luggage cases have a padded backrest, which can also be retrofitted. It usually matches the color of the seat bench.
Problems with the color scheme
The various Vespa models are subject to regular changes. This can have a decisive influence on materials, colors, seams, patterns and the quality of the piping. Manufacturer information usually only includes the current year of production. It can therefore be a little difficult because there have been striking changes/improvements to the various models over the course of the production periods.

While third-party suppliers may be able to offer a larger and cheaper selection, original accessories always guarantee a seamless, brand-compliant look and fit of the parts. Note: Piaggio has also commissioned various manufacturers for the lock assemblies over the course of its production periods. This inevitably leads to problems regarding the compatibility of the locks/keys.
Practical tip: The hook of the original lock is reused for a new top case. This is sustainability, albeit on a very small scale.
