The little part called Rubber Bush or also known as Silent Rubber is an important detail that often might get overlooked. The rubber block is very important for having a long and healthy friendship with your vespa and especially all it’s delicate metal parts.

What does the silent rubber actually do?

As the name already suggests, it’s practical for reducing noise while on the road. By damping the vibrations of the chassis, this inconspicuous part also ensures greater comfort for the driver. At the same time, it regulates driving stability and ensures increased driving safety. A silent rubber or silent block can be used in several places.

Please note
Always keep your hands off rubbers that have already hardened. They transfer vibrations directly into the bodywork instead of dampening them. They can accelerate the tearing of sheet metal parts, so they are not only counterproductive but also have a destructive effect.

Conclusion

When replacing the silentblocs, replace the spacer bushes and washers at the same time.
As the company PLC is dedicated to racing, it should be noted: The colors orange and Gt-green are used in racing.
The colors green and black, which are somewhat softer, are intended for everyday use.

If you optimize your Vespa with new, harder shock absorbers, you should also replace the
Silent rubbers, which have been designed for racing.
With this in mind, please also observe and comply with the StVO.

Important to know
Anyone who has ordered a silent rubber from the SIP Scootershop, for example, and receives the delivery may be surprised.
Piaggio offers “original” silent rubber that is much narrower than the parts previously available. This is neither a wrong delivery nor a wrongly ordered product, but is actually the case and is intended and correct.
