Two iconic brands come together in a limited edition to celebrate a very special anniversary: Vespa presents the Vespa Disney Mickey Mouse Edition. With an image of unique shapes and colors, both brands always keep their finger on the pulse. Vespa celebrates freedom and fun, sharing Disney’s values of storytelling and escapism, making for a perfect collaboration.
Most recently, the famous motorcycle became a dream come true in Luca’s Fantastic Adventure, Disney and Pixar’s animated masterpiece. Now these two timeless icons come together in a special Disney100 project: Vespa celebrates the anniversary with a worldwide collaboration between two unique brands with the Vespa Disney Mickey Mouse Edition.
Vespa is much more than a vehicle, she is a way of life: an extension of the riders’ personality, history and journey. She is a wonderful travel companion and in this special edition she fires the imagination and inspires fans to dream big. Michele Colaninno, Chief Executive of Global Strategy, Product, Marketing and Innovation at Piaggio Group is very excited about the collaboration. He commented on the partnership as follows:

As part of this collaboration, the Vespa Primavera 50cc, 125cc and 150cc are available in black, red, white and yellow: the same colors that have characterized Walt Disney’s most famous mouse for decades. The yellow wheels are reminiscent of Mickey Mouse’s shoes, while the black mirrors recall his distinctive round ears. The sides and front of the scooter are decorated with patterns representing silhouettes of characters. Finally, both the saddle and the leg shield feature Mickey Mouse’s signature, giving it a very personal flavor.
Overall, the collaboration has created a very successful combination, which was perhaps not immediately obvious at first glance, but fits so well together. The joy and lightness of both companies was wonderfully combined and shows how playful design can be.
