The SIP Scootershop team not only stands for solidarity in the Vespa community, but also cares for the well-being of others in poorer circumstances. With their own fundraising campaign SIP Aid, they have already helped many aid organizations and now another one has been added so that even more people can be helped.
With SIP Scootershop ‘s contribution, the charitable organization is able to give hope to starving children in the world’s poorest countries through food and education, even in difficult times. Mary’s Meals is an international organization that gives starving children access to education through school meals. The daily school meal is a strong incentive for children to attend school. This provides them with a basic education, giving them the chance to escape poverty.
What does Mary’s Meals do?
Mary’s Meals provides hundreds of thousands of the world’s poorest children with a hot meal every school day. Food and education enable the children to escape the spiral of misery and poverty. Founded in 1992, the aid organization has the vision that every child should receive a meal at school every day. Mary’s Meals currently feeds around 1.3 million children in Africa.
There are clear positive effects in the short term: Children’s health and well-being are strengthened, school enrollment rates increase, and attendance rates improve. In the long term, not only the children but also the communities involved benefit considerably. Their work promotes support for the children from their communities, strengthens the local economy and contributes to general development.
