Vespa events are the opportunity for all fans of the Italian cult scooter to come together and share their common love, exchange knowledge and experiences, and marvel at the various versions of the Vespa. After a great Vespa Year 2022, this year continues to be hot. We have put together a brief overview of the most exciting Vespa events in 2023.
Discover the hottest news at motorcycle shows
If you like to check out the hottest news at trade fairs, you have a few options this year. For example, from 27 to 29 January at the Motorradwelt Bodensee in Friedrichshafen. Then, from 24 to 26 February, IMOT will take place in Munich. In addition to a stage programme, there will be a broad mix of international exhibitors with the latest motorbike and scooter models as well as a large selection of products and information on customising and tuning. In November, there is the most important international two-wheeler trade fair, the EICMA in Milan.
An exciting scooter year
Traditionally, the Vespa season is kicked off with Anroller events. In Berlin, for example, the Anrollern takes place every year on 1 May, starting at Winterfeldtplatz.
An annual highlight in May is the SIP Open Day. On the 20.5.23 Vespisti from all over Germany and beyond have the opportunity to make a pilgrimage to Landsberg am Lech and celebrate the start of the scooter season. As always, a great programme, a wide variety of people and Vespas and food and drink from the “Siperia” await enthusiastic Vespa fans. You can get an impression of the last SIP Open Days on the SIP website. For the upcoming date is an event on facebook that you can join, so you don’t miss any important updates!
June 2023 has several highlights to offer. If you’re in the mood for fantastic mountain scenery and a great programme, you definitely won’t miss out. First of all, the Vespa Alp Days will take place from 8 to 11 June in Zell am See, Austria. There, 1,000 Vespisti from all over the world will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network, go on joint rides through the exhilarating Alpine scenery and round off the evenings with food, drink and parties.
Shortly afterwards, from 15 to 18 June, the Vespa World Days will continue in Switzerland, more precisely in Interlaken. Here, too, great rides through impressive scenery, great evening entertainment, the dealer mile and, of course, lots of Vespa fans from all over await. A special highlight is the Concours d’élégance, a beauty contest for man and machine. This year’s theme is the 50s to 60s – this applies to both the Vespas and the styling of the participants.
If you fancy a Vespa Cross with lots of action, fun and mud, the 2nd “Matscho Karatscho” from SIP Scootershop is just the thing for you! On 29 July 2023, it’s all happening for the second time on the in-house obstacle course, whose premiere last year was a complete success.
These are just a few highlights of the upcoming Vespa season. We can definitely look forward to an exciting scooter year 2023!
